In June 2011, Bronx-Lebanon received official notification of its full Joint Commission accreditation. The Joint Commmission evaluates and monitors the quality of care and safety at medical centers and hospitals around the nation.

The Joint Commission survey team, which consisted of experienced physicians, nurses, healthcare administrators, and engineers, commended Bronx-Lebanon for the excellent care it provides to the community.

Surveyors randomly selected patient records and traced the treatment process from admission to discharge to post hospital follow-up.

The Joint Commission reviewed in-patient and out-patient services, policies and procedures, patient safety protocols, and performance improvement initiatives.
