Pride
  Our Joint Commission, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, and American Dental Association Accreditations are further confirmations that Bronx- Lebanon is taking a leadership position in providing high quality, comprehensive and compassionate health care services to the community.  
  Fuentez and Staff  
  Ambulatory Care Center.  
  Our new nine-story Ambulatory Care Facility is in the final stages of construction with a projected completion date in early 2012.  
  LifeRecoveryCenter  
  Life Recovery Center.  
  Our new 56,000 square foot Life Recovery Center will be completed in 2013.
The construction was commemorated during a
special groundbreaking ceremony July, 2011.
 
  Dr Gates and Staff  
  Dr. Paul Gates, Chairman, Dentistry (center, standing) and his team.  
  Our Dentistry Program is providing more than 60,000 visits annually in responding to the needs of the community. It has trained more under-represented minorities than any dental residency program in the United States.  
  Fulton  
  Expanded Clinical Space at Fulton Division.  
  Our expansion of clinical and support services for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Health Center was completed at the Fulton Division. Dental services were also relocated into expanded space at the BronxCare Third Avenue Practice.  
  ER  
  Emergency Room entrance at night.  
  Our ER continues to respond to all types of emergency situations, providing more than 129,000 visits annually, among the largest for a hospital in New York City.  
  Our 911 designated Stroke Center in the ER is the recipient of the American Heart Association’s Silver Medal, a prestigious national honor.  
  Our Angioplasty Program and Hypothermia Center are providing life saving care.  
  Cardiac Observation  
  Cardiac Observation Units  
  Our recently expanded telemetry and short stay observation units are effectively monitoring and evaluating patients in cardiac distress.  
  OrthoTeam  
  Dr. Ira Kirschenbaum, Chairman, Orthopaedics (center), and Orthopaedic Surgery Team in state-of-the-art Operating Room.  
  Our Orthopaedic Team is providing specialized trauma, hand, foot, and spine care, as well as hip and knee replacements in a totally new facility. Its experienced and highly specialized surgeons have established the department as among the best in the nation.  
  Spa  
  Bronx-Lebanon’s Whirlpool Delivery Birthing Spa Suite.  
  Our Women’s Health Center and Birthing Spa are delivering the services women need in a welcoming and comfortable setting, providing 75,000 visits annually.  
  Infant  
  Neonatal baby in incubator.  
  Our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit’s 99% survival rate in saving infants, weighing as little as one to two pounds at birth, remains among the highest in the nation.

  Sleep Study

  Our Center for Sleep Medicine is addressing the serious problems associated with sleep disorders.  
  Hospice  
  Our new Inpatient Hospice Unit is providing compassionate end of life care.  
  Highbridge Woodycrest

  Our Special Care Center and Highbridge Woodycrest Center continue to provide quality long-term and chronic care.  
  Our Autism Treatment and Advocacy Center is successfully responding to the increasing incidence of Autism in the community, improving and enhancing the lives of children with autism and their families.  
  Our South Bronx Asthma Partnership received national recognition from the United States Environmental Protection Agency for its leadership in improving the lives of children with asthma and their families.  
  Our many other Centers of Excellence are providing comprehensive, compassionate, and quality health care services.  
  Our Management Information System is nearing full implementation, including an electronic medical record. By 2012, Bronx-Lebanon will be completely computerized.  
  Our HealthBeat Television Program is delivering the message of health and wellness into the community, and our Mobile Health Units are reaching out throughout the Bronx.

  Our more than $19 Million in grant awards is a testament to the high quality care, innovative services and important initiatives that we are providing to the Bronx community.
